Climbing Mount Misery

Scotland is wrapped in historical mystery, relics, and castles, or in my case, Scots vacationing away from the city during a heat wave.  Mount Misery was my destination.  Locals had no idea of its existence.  Some say the mountain’s designation as Mount Misery may even be a prank on Apple Maps.  But all agree that Mount Misery is not a mountain at all, but a hill.  One can imagine my disappointment spending four to five hours to climb 1,200 feet to climb a hill, but there you have it.

The path to Mount Misery takes you through beautiful Loch Lomond, which serves as a great local attraction to dogs and humans alike wanting to escape the heat from summer.  A wonderful ice cream stand is located on the Shore Path Route along with a ramp for boats and kayaks.
