It was a beautiful day in Southlake, Texas. There was gorgeous sun, a few clouds, and I was out in the middle of all of it. Trying to restrain myself from taking random people shots, I decided on a more productive exercise – photographing shadows.
When you observe the great photographers, Saul Leiter, Ansel Adams, Fred Herzog, they all knew how to place their subject matter in light and shadow. Texas may not be dominated with skyscrapers or neon signs, but we have plenty of space, and that was my challenge for today. What cool shadows might I find which occupy all of this wonderful Texas space? Enjoy my session!
