North Adams is cradled in beautiful mountainous terrain accentuated by rolling clouds and amplified sun, but look closer at street level and beauty retreats into the shadows and poverty, drugs, and decay loom large. I don\u2019t try to focus on the decay to our United States cities. Yet it is decay which litters the landscape with or without inhabitants. Landscape photographers like to photoshop out the decisive moment where city planners made it more expensive to rebuild versus restore, but not me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
