The flowers sprouting forth endured one of the hottest summers and coolest cold snaps <em>on record<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The first flowers to bloom are my Yellow Jasmine located next to my window.  Last year I had thought they would bloom for a month or so, but now I know that is not the case! Unfortunately, one died during a snow storm that shall not be named.  This Japanese Mock Orange has stolen the show by growing gangbusters. They are\u2026dying.  The small leaves and super thorny branches is the hallmark signs of a disease.  The roses don\u2019t come out rosey no more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And that is why I enjoy flower photography. The beautiful leaves which butterflies fluttered around in 2023 have all fallen from the latest round of cold snaps and to be honest, I thought my Fig Tree was dead. We literally drove to her house and we dug up her babies\u2026her words\u2026not mine\u2026and that was that!  I had three Agave plants and I fear one (directly below) and perhaps the other were the only survivors.
